(Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; TSE First Section: 9715; hereafter, transcosmos) has agreed to acquire more than 20% of the total outstanding shares of Luxola Pte. Ltd. (Headquarters: Singapore; Founder & CEO: Alexis Horowitz-Burdick; hereafter, Luxola), a cosmetics E-Commerce company in Singapore.

Luxola is a unique business founded in 2011, which delivers cosmetic products found only online with international shipping to eight countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, UAE, Brunei and Hong Kong. Along with its expanding company recognition since 2012, the company has entered a stage of rapid growth in sales volume, which is more than 450% increase over the previous year in 2013. With this new capital increase, it will enhance services through initiatives such as improved user marketing, customer care and mobile experience in each country, as well as new construction and expansion of distribution centers in Indonesia and Thailand.

In order to support the E-Commerce business of Luxola, transcosmos plans to dispatch personnel including executive officers with this new capital and business alliance, and will continue to introduce know-how and systems such as digital marketing and customer support it has cultivated up until now. In addition, there are plans to continue expansive cooperation as a partner in order to accelerate “global E-Commerce one-stop services” that transcosmos is promoting, including support for the E-Commerce entry of transcosmos’s corporate clients into the ASEAN market by utilizing Luxola.
